Please start if you finish the movie early. Blog Post: Choose 3 characters in the movie and explain what the character wants and what obstacles that character faces. In the end, does the character get what he/she wants? If so, how? If not, is that a good thing? What does the ending on the movie seem to be suggesting about the possibilites of people to get ahead?

1) WALTER: he is the main character in the play that wants his life to be better, and doesn’t always want to be opening car doors for a living. Throughout the play he tries his hardest to solve the problems his family faces.

2) Benetha: she is the daughter and Walter’s sister. She is very smart and goes to college. She wants to be a doctor, but it’s difficult for her in the situation her family is in.

3) Mama has very strong morals and is religious. She wants to help her entire family find their way to a bigger and better place.
